Background

Sarah, now 57, graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry from Imperial College London.  After having her two sons in the late 1990’s, she decided to combine her degree with her love of fitness, food and the outdoors, and qualified as a personal trainer with the YMCA in order to follow her passion and build a unique offering for those craving an active and well-balanced lifestyle for as long as they can.

Throughout her life, Sarah has found the healing powers of the outdoors, combined with the right nutrition and exercise has helped her overcome numerous challenges, and she now seeks to share this with others - leading her to launch Sarah Shaw Wellbeing in 2016.   Sarah loves what she does and is a self-confessed science geek, who researches everything fully and loves to bring any new health and fitness discoveries into her work.  Her ultimate ambition is to help clients build strength and resilience both mentally and physically, reduce health and stress issues and live their life to the fullest for longer.

Northern at heart but glued to the beauty of The Malvern Hills, Sarah has been based in the area for 14 years, and since 2011 she has worked at Malvern College as their Personal Trainer and Optimal Health Coach as well as running her own wellbeing business.

Her passion for the outdoors and the pull of mountains, lakes and rivers mean that in her spare time, Sarah can be found out in the wilds of The Lake District, Wales or Scotland, running, hiking, camping and swimming with her two springer spaniels, Bramble and Pip, and anyone else she can drag along!  She intends to keep it that way for as long as she can by practicing what she preaches (mostly) - her weaknesses include coffee and cake and a delicious G&T or two - a little of what you like does you good!
